The Kyptec Automation® 35 MM SWIR Camera Lens combines a medium-long focal length with optical operation across the 900–1700 nm SWIR spectral band. Designed for 2 MP imaging and 2/3-inch sensors, the lens uses a C-mount interface and F1.4 aperture for integration with compatible short-wave infrared cameras. A 35 MM focal length provides a narrower field and increased image scale relative to the 8.5 MM, 12.5 MM and 25 MM versions when compared under equivalent system conditions. This gives system designers the flexibility to position the camera farther from the target or concentrate more sensor pixels over a smaller object area. The lens is specifically intended for SWIR rather than ordinary visible imaging. This distinction matters because optical transmission and focusing behaviour across 900–1700 nm must be considered when designing the complete imaging system. Matching the optics to the sensor's spectral operating range helps protect image contrast and usable signal reaching the detector.
